Baie-de-Henne (Labe)
Baie-de-Henne Foundation-AKL, Inc. was founded in October 2020 by members of the Haitian Diaspora community. The rural community of Baie-de-Henne is located in the Northwest department of Haiti. The four sections of the community are: Dos D’ane, Citerne Remy, La Reserve, and l’Estere Dere which make up its more than 30,000 population.
The abbreviations AKL is short for Ann Konstwi Labe, the three words on top of our logo, meaning Let’s Build Labe. Labe is another way to say Baie-de-Henne. AKL is a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization with locations in South Florida and in Baie-de-Henne Haiti.
AKL’s office in Haiti is partnered with local Priests, Pastors, Teachers, Nurses, Doctors, Agronomists, Engineers and so on as counselors to assist and guide our programs.
